Guest User management

Concept

When building an application in Maira, you may want users to interact with the AI via the Maira Playground. However, these users do not require access to the Maira Console. For such scenarios, Guest users are designed.

Guest users can only access the Maira Playground and have no access to the Maira Console.

Who can Invite guests?

Only Admin members, who are already assigned to a project, can invite guest users for that project

NOTE: Guest users are project based (Not account based)

How to add Guest Users

Inviting individual guest users

To invite individual Guest users

  1. Go to the Maira project, where you want to invite guest.
  2. Navigate to the ACCESS tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Access Control > Assigned Members section and click the blue plus button in the top right corner.
  4. In the modal, switch to the INVITE GUEST tab.
  5. Enter the guest user's Email, First Name, and Last Name.
  6. Select the Tags for the user. These are profile tags (not to be confused with dataset tags) that determine which profiles the user can access.
If no tag is selected, the user will have access to all profiles in the project.
  7. Click SEND INVITATION.

The invited user will receive an email with a link to the Maira Playground and will be able to access the specified project and profiles.

To invite multiple guest users:

  1. Go to the Maira project where you want to invite guests.
  2. Navigate to the ACCESS tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Access Control > Group Invitation section and click the blue plus button in the top right corner.
  4. Select the Tags for the users (Optional). These are profile tags (not to be confused with dataset tags) that determine which profiles the users can access.
If no tag is selected, users will have access to all profiles in the project.
  5. Click CREATE.
  6. An Invitation URL will be generated and shown on the screen.

Guest users can use this invitation URL to register and start using the Maira Playground, with access to the specified project and profiles.

Example Use Case of Profile Tags

  • User Experience: Since different profiles have different instructions, roles, settings or AI models, you can control the type of response or experience each guest user receives.

  • Dataset Access Management: By linking profiles to datasets using Dataset Tags, and linking guest users to profiles using Profile Tags, you can effectively control which datasets each guest can access.
